I have three kids and a very active dog. It’s time for me to make a doctors appointment.
Four years ago when I had my tubal ligation, the doctors found a mass in my right fallopian tube. the mass was tested and came back benign. A year or so later I went to my OBGYN with complaints about my period – specifically, the amount of pain I was having.
The doctor told me that the pain was likely caused by adhesions – scar tissue from my tubal was attaching itself to my internal parts. My doctor told me that the process to fix this is very non-invasive, a very small incision through which a laser thingy is inserted and burns off the adhesions. At the time I felt that the pain was still bearable enough to say no to the surgery. I have never had good luck with recovering from surgeries!
But after yesterday and the day before, I am sure the time has come for a little bit of intervention. I was absolutely unable to do anything. I could not walk, I could not talk, the pain was that bad. The children were worried because I was on the couch shaking, close to vomiting from the pain. It took six extra strength Tylenol and eight migraine strength Advil to finally get the pain under control – It still hurt like an SOB, but at least I was able to move -and that only lasted for three hours, then I had to take more pills.
As soon as I stop bleeding – I’m not sure I have ever had a period this heavy in my life – including the bleeding after the children were born – I will be calling my doctor for an appointment!

Holy cow girl – make that appointment! Those levels of aspirin are NOT good for you… good luck!

Call them NOW and get on something different for pain. And ask if they can put you on something to control the bleeding – you don’t want your hemoglobin levels to get too low for too long.
