It’s Friday, and more specifically, it’s Date Night Friday. Tonight the boys are sleeping over at their Nana’s and while I should be taking the time to get my house in order for the onslaught of children Saturday night, Me and hubs will be going out on the town. Not too late though, LOL, I still get really tired easily.

(Also, I think watching a movie is out, i still cough – A LOT – and the last thing anyone wants is to pay good money to go to a theater to listen to someone cough instead of the movie!)

So to get ready for tonight I just went and had a quick shower, after my shower I decided I wanted to wear my contact lenses tonight, just because!

I took them out, cleaned them off, becuase it has been a while since I have worn them, and then tried to put them in. The right one went in easy peasy, but the left one I put in backwards! I tried to take it out and ended up scratching my eyeball! (Not too badly, its a little red, but man did it STING) Right now I am trying to get my eye to stop tearing up becuase in 20 minutes I need to head to the school to pick up the boys and the last thing i want is to walk down the halls looking like i am crying!

Promoting a blog is hard work. especially when you want to keep new blogs apart from already existing blogs. I have six blogs, and this one, Mommy Madness is special to me.

Mommy Madness is here for me to talk about WHATEVER I want without fear of what anyone thinks. You see, all of my family know about my other blogs, but this one? It’s a secret. Consider yourself lucky that you are here.

I promote this blog, becuase I fell that I have something to say that should be shared. I am not the only person in the planet with family troubles, I’m not the only person who has questions and often doesn’t know what to do.

BUT, I promote this blog quietly. I am sure that should I start linking this blog from my others I would get a tonne more readers, but then, just like on my other blogs, I would sit there deleting lines and words, policing what i have to say.

My main blog, my very first blog, I have used things like promotional pens and business cards to promote it, this blog I do it more quietly. I use my URL and the name “Mommy Madness” when reading like minded blogs,  I use keywords that are both important to the theme of this blog as well as important to the story that I am telling in the post.

I was on my main blog last night and had so much to say, so much that I could NOT say, but knowing that at any time I can switch logins and come here, here to where I am free to say what I want when I want, it makes me happy.

I’m not trying to say that my life is filled with strife and agony, that every single day there is soemthing wrong that I need to vent about, but when something happens, when I NEED to talk, Mommy Madness is here for me. And I hope, for you.

Let us, just for a minute, discuss the title of this blog. Mommy Madness. Is the crazy brought on by being a mother? Do children really make a person insane?

The answer is yes. This is why tomorrow night I will have three extra children in my home – for the night – while I am still recuperating from pneumonia. The only logical explanation IS that I have gone insane.

Actually, it isn’t as bad as it sounds. For the most part – the noisy parts, the children will be downstairs playing. We’ve gotten a few movies – we bought Journey to the Center of the Earth last Saturday – it’s in 3D the kids will put on their little Red and Green glasses and pretend they are in home theater seating with surround sound nibbling at popcorn.

Journey to the Center of the Earth was my very first experiance with 3D movies, and I hope the home 3D version is as well done as it was in the theatre. There were times that I was covering my face, and reaching my hand out to touch the object that was “coming toward” me.

But still. I’m insane. and truley the fact that I refuse to break a promise to a child is the only reason we did not cancel this slumber party. Arrangements for tomorrow night were made three weeks ago, and the kids have been looking forward to it!
