People say that once you have missed sleep, you cannot gain back that sleep. For example, if you get to bed and hour late one night, you cannot get that hour back simply by going to bed an hour early the next night. That doesn’t quite make sense to me, but whatever.

I had so much sleep Tuesday through Friday that you would think that I have caught up on all my lost sleep, since EVER. I’ve spent pretty much all day, every day, plus the nights, sleeping. No worry about finding thebest eye cream for dark circles for me! And yet, here it is, barely past ten PM and I am exhausted. I am ready for bed, for my pillow and my lovely soft blanket…but it is Saturday, the kids are up, playing golf on the Wii and not tired int eh least so Its UpsVille for me, for the foreseeable future, anyway

Maybe I can just doze on the couch?

Today was a sorta nice day. it was sorta nice because it was beautiful until about four when it got cold and started to rain. that part sucked ass, but the rest was grand. My favorite part of the day was seeing the wee doggie in sunglasses! This lady had this tiny puppy in a hip slung bag, and the pup had both ray-ban sunglasses and a little ball cap on. It was TOO cute!

I wonder if Sammi would wear sunglasses?

Probably not. She hates having her wee hair ties in , although she does love her dresses and sweaters, so maybe. Of course if she wont wear them on her face I can always …

My kids school division is striking on the 25/26th. They had a strike day last week too. they want a 12% raise becuase they are the lowest paid Provence in the country. But I’m confused …aren’t the higher paying provinces laying teachers and support staff off by the dozens because they cannot afford to pay them at their high wages!

It’s not like they want better benefits or have issues with social security disability programs, they simply want more money. Where on earth is the decision supposed to get the money to pay for their raise though? Oh..yeah…higher taxes. Goody!

Worst of all is that the grade one class was supposed to have a mothers day tea, but it had to be rescheduled. Then the school striked (Struck?)for a day – and it was the same day as the mothers day tea had been moved too. The latest date we had for our mothers day tea was the 26th of may – but again, the teachers are striking, so boom, no mothers day tea now

Im a bit mad, yeah. Can you tell?

If you recall from the last post, we have a lot of crap going on here. I’ve been so busy, that I haven’t had time to check out buyapidexin.com ! the grout is in, and it looks great. Turns out, grout is annoying to put in, and I’d rather never do it again, as long as I live. Because it is annoying. Did I mention that?

I spent the morning applying a sealer to the grout, and will apply it again before bed, and again tomorrow, and hopefully we can caulk (by the sink) on Monday.

On top of that, I got the dogs room / sewing room cleaned out in preparation for moving the two older boys’ mattresses up so they have a place to sleep while the workers replace the floor and sewing a table runner; placemats set for my mother in law.

So yeah, busy busy!!

At least this is a long weekend (Victoria day in Canada) so i have the whole family home to help! Who wants to place bets on if I manage to convince my husband to mow the fricken lawn??

As you know, we had that nasty flood that killed our furnace and basement floor, so thats a lot of work right there, but we had planned already to tile in a backsplash in the kitchen, as well as paint the living room, halls, kitchen , baseboards and put up a chair rail. We are almost done the tiling, just grout and sealing to go, and we will grout tomorrow morning. Check it :

So just two more steps to finish the tile, then I want to wait and see when the basement floor is getting done before the painting takes place becuase I don’t want a mess both up and downstairs!

Speaking of mess, We got a sample pack in the mail with a sample of mens’ face cream, a warming scrub a razor and deodorant. My middle bratling was reading the back of the package and asked what is testosterone LOL. What am I supposed to say to that? I said it was a hormone that boys made, and that it was what made a boy a boy. He then asked if he could have the razor becuase he “has hairs on my lip. look with a light , you can see them!!”. I of course, said NO! Dudes only nine LOL.

I need to get the kids cleaning out the furnace room so the new furnace can come in, and that’s going to be one h ell of a mess. I cant clean the furnace room becuase I am positive that is where the spiders all live, and I just cannot do that! I will have them wear shoes, and I will supervise from the door, so I can make sure they stomp any arachnid they see!

My friend does online and in the last electronic flyer there was a teapot with an infuser built right into it. I dislike the electronic flyers becuase there is no way to zoom in on things and see things clearer or closer, and often I cant read the whole description of the product becuase the letters are too small.

I decided to search for the glass teapot with infuser on google to see if there was a review or what not, before I bought it and am I ever glad I did, because it says that it is not for use int he microwave or on a stove top, so how on earth do you heat the water? Boil it in the kettle then pour it in the teapot? I have an infuser ball that i can put right in my tea cup, much easier then dealing with (and cleaning) a separate tea pot, so what is the point?

I did buy a blackhead remover tool, becuase it looks kinda fun to use LOL. I saw one on a friends bathroom counter a few months ago and asked her about it and she says they work well, so we shall see.

We took our dog to the vet today for her annual check up and vaccinations. As you can probably guess from the title of this post, we were told that our dog is over weight. Not horribly over weight, but the Vet told us to not let her gain any more weight, at all!

So, a fatty!

I asked her if there was a hair loss products for dogs while we were there, becuase Smokey sheds like an SOB, and it is getting annoying – really annoying.

Other then changing her food, and brushing her more, there isnt a lot we can do to stop the shedding, its just the type of dog she is, they shed. But it’s still really SUPER annoying!
