In 1997 I graduated high school and was undecided on what to do. I lazed about all of July, and it wasn’t until the middle of August that I decided to take the plunge and apply to school.
Since I loved my time in school, and I loved kids, I decided on a teaching degree. I enjoyed school, and I met a lot of great people there – including my husband!
Now its been more than a decade since I had to stop studying – I stopped to have a baby, It makes me wonder if I should go back to school and finish my teaching degree . Unlike back in 1997, I have more options. I can study online, so it wouldn’t matter that I have the boys, it wouldn’t interfere with things, so..maybe?

Tonight just as we were about to leave the lake, there were fireworks. And to be honest, it looked like they were coming from the oxycontin detox place. Why they would be setting off fireworks is beyond me, but it sure was fun for the boys to watch.
L__ asked why they had fire works, and B__ told him it was because there was a full moon, but I corrected them and told them that it was to celebrate that in one hour, it has been a whole year since daddy and I had had a smoke!
Thats right peeps, July 17th 2010, a whooooole year ago Micah and I quit smoking! How cool is that?
I used chantix, Hubby used will power, LOL

Well, we’re back! And the car didn’t break down!
yay!
It was so much fun, the day was pretty much perfect, temperature wise. All three boys LOVED and I do mean LOVED their ride on the boat, and the dragon flies were taking good care of the mosquitoes for us! And best of all, Micah did not get burned again!
We were all super careful to make sure he had tonnes of sunscreen on, so that’s good.
It was a blast.
I want to head to the city tomorrow to look at the latest laptops, and see if we can find one at a good price (this one is dying, fast) or we would go back out to the lake tomorrow!!

We are about to embark on a journey. We are heading to the lake with my BFF just for the evening.
Last time we did this we ended up needing roadside assistance to get home after blowing out our engine on the super hot day it was, pulling a trailer.
It is another super hot day, but we aren’t pulling a trailer, so we should be OK.
Just for the evening we are gonna hit the lake, take the boys on a boat ride and have a blast! best part is that the boys have never been on a boat, other then the ferry – and parker went on one when he was 2ish, but that doesn’t count.
Wish us luck in our driving! Lets hope the car can stand up to todays heat!

We had some excitement the other day watching the guys across the way move and entire house! I did not understand why. teh house is at least 20 years old, with an addition, and my father in law said it would have cost about 30,000 to move the house, and that doesn’t count the cost to build the foundation to put the home on when it gets to where it is moved.
Side note – they did the foundation wrong, the house did not fit.
With manufactured homes at such good prices right now, I have no idea why they moved the house, especially considering he wants to add an addition onto the house once it is in place!
What a waste of money! I would have bought or had built a new house.
