So we were cleaning out the last of the boxes that we had to move for the flood clean up, and its taken this long becuae we decided that instead of just moving the boxes we would go through each of them and decided if the contents should be kept, donated or trashed. I was excited about a certain box, but it was close to the bottom of the pile, so it took us a while to get to it. It said womens boots. And what woman doesn’t get excited about a box full of forgotten boots?

I am over the moon excited that we found my sweet brown leather, knee high, zip up two in heel winter boots. I’ve been wearing shoes the past few winters because my boots went missing! Unfortunalty, other then the one pair pf my boots in the box, it was filled with little kid boots. adorable tiny little kid boots, but none the less, no boots for me. We sent three pairs of boy’s boots to the thrift store donation drop off, tossed a single ski boot – why only one boot? don’t ask me, and kept another couple pairs of winter boots that might fit our youngest this year.

still, the biggest score of the night was finding my winter boots, adn hubby found his old engineering bag, and his 200$ scientific calculator in it!

I have started walking with my littlest guy in the evenings. we take a baggie for poop, the little dog and head out. I let my little guy tell us which road to turn and when to come home, so often we are out for longer than an hour and a half.

The walks started because I need to lose weight. ASAP. I only fit one pair of my pants and winter is coming!

Today instead of my evening walk being fat burners, it was a fat maker, because we walked to the local ice cream shop and I got a double school of mint chocolate chip!

We won`t be doing that again, anytime soon, because the walk is really for me to lose weight, and stopping for ice cream is the exact opposite :(

Christmas is only a hundred and some odd days away , so its way past time to start thinking of ideas on what to get for the people I love. I think the zumo 665 is a super idea for my dad and his wife. The Zumo is for motorbikes and both of them are on their bikes non stop.

They like to take trips down south, into the states and all over Canada, as well as just taking the bike on a trip to get bread at the local corner store. Next time I’m in the city, I will have to stop at The Source and check them out!

One year, one month and one day ago, My husband and I quit smoking. I used a smoking cessation aid, hubby went cold turkey.

Even now, a full year since my last smoke, I still love the smell of it. When we walk into or out of a store I linger for a few seconds, breathing the second hand smoke in. I just love the smell.

Hubby would love to indulge in one of those alec bradley cigars, but he thinks that might start him on a slippery slope to smoking full time.

Neither of us are sad we quit smoking, and we don’t want to pick it back up, but we both do miss it :(

My husband and sons are all gamers. That is,m their method of choice to unwind , relax, and have fun is to sit in front of the big screen and twiddle their thumbs on controllers. (Betcha its obvious that *I’M* not a gamer, eh?) Up until last summer, having four active gamers in thehouse wasn’t a huge deal, financially, because they rented games at the local video store, but, when that went out of business, suddenly it was either BUY the game, or never play it, and so the boys began saving their pennies and the husband began getting onmy nerves.

Games aren’t cheap. anywhere between 20 and 80 dollars, on average, depending on the system. We have the PS3, PS2, Wii, GameboyLite, GameboyDS, and two PSP’s. I night be forgetting some. So imagine what it is costing to buy games for all those systems and for all those boys!

Luckily, we buy a lot of the games online, as opposed to in store, and we (I) LOVE finding awesome coupon deals to help make the purchase easier for us (me) to swallow. One website I like to use to find coupons is gamestop coupons. I’m actually there in another window looking for a coupon for the game Infamous 2.

I’m hopeful I can find a coupon, because my eldest is dead set on buying the game, and anything, any coupon that will save money is right up my alley!

Word of advice: ANY time you buy ANYTHING online, first do a search for coupon codes! It’s worth the few minutes it takes to browse a site!

I finally got this blog updated to the new wordpress, go me! I super need to cut my nails because it is getting quite difficult to type wit them, but I pretty much fail at all things girly and that includes nail cutting. Once I start, I cant seem to stop and before I know it, I’ve snipped my nails to the quick, trying to get them somewhat even. And don’t tell me to try a nail file, that takes too long, AND I suck at that too!

This weekend Hubby and I celebrated 12 years together, we celebrated by doing pretty much nothing. We went out the night before, and then stayed in on our actuall anniversary. t was a good, lazy, weekend.

I had ordered A Stolen Life , the Jaycee Dugard book a few weeks ago, and it came in on Thursday, so we picked that up while we were out Friday. I read it all the same night, it was heartbreaking :( That poor girl!

I sent it over to my mother in law’s to read, she enjoys a true crime book like I do, so I though she would enjoy this one too. If you get a chance to read it, do so, but have a kleenix handy.

We also got the boys all ready for school this weekend, with the exception of picking up gym shoes and a box of crayons for the littlest guy. What kind of store runs out of crayons on the first back to school shopping weekend of August! (hint : It was Wal-Mart)
