Today we did our regular shopping, we do this every two weeks. it’s not horribly fun, as we shop for essentials, you know, like food.
Here are five things I coveted while shopping:
1. The high def TV Wal*Mart had on sale for just under 700$
2. The winning lotto ticket the man in front of us in the line had. I could do a lot with 1200$
3. Purple nail polish. kit was shiny and shimmery and I wanted it!
4. The pretty silver Nikon camera in the locked down display case. Did you know Nikon makes binoculars too? They do : Nikon binoculars
5. The latest edition of Rock Band – I am actually buying that for hubs for Christmas, so it is just a matter of waiting a few more months. Sigh.
What do you covet?

This is Tigger, She’s fat. Want proof? I have been using, and uploading pictures to wordpress for over a year now, and I have never received this error :

And yet, when I come online and try to upload a picture of said fat cat, Shock of all Shocks, that is what I got!
Now, I know that a huge part of Tigger’s weight problem is that she noms the dogs food whenever she thinks we are not watching, but it’s getting ridiculous. I tried to document it with a picture how her fat DRAGS on the floor when she walks, but her second problem in regards to her weight is that she so very rarely moves.

In the above photo you can sort of see her flibberjibber hanging there while she basks in the heaven she knows as “Neck Scratches”. Now, since our vet called us out on her weight at Tigger’s last appointment, we have been trying to encourage her to lose weight. We have bought her new toys and little balls to chase (The dog ate the balls, that’s a whole other blog post!) I tried once to get her to go on the Wii Fit, but she very much detested that idea (and when Tigger is not happy, someone bleeds) I think our only option is to put her on something like slim10 . Unless you have a better idea?
C’mon internet! You ALWAYS have better ideas then me! help a girl and her kitty out, will ya?
(Pee ess: We already tried Tigger on the treadmil. I almost died)

We gave Smokey – the dog – her very first ice cream cone the other day!
Stop- I KNOW dairy is not good for dogs, please no lectures, it was a teaspoon of ice cream in the bottom of a cone!
She was begging so cutely – she doesn’t whine or cry, she sits and pushes her head into your leg and looks up at you with her big ol’ doggy smile, and I could not resist. I made her the cone and held it out to her. She looked at me like I was insane!
“Can I take that?” she seemed to be asking so I pushed it directly against her nose. She opened her mouth, went to take the cone and stopped, again looking up at me like “Really lady? This is mine?”
I pushed it against her mouth again and told her to take it.
She did.
The next ten minutes were hilarious as she gingerly carried it to her bed, laid down and held it with her front paws and began to devour her cone – Like a HUMAN would!
First she licked out every bit of ice cream, and then she began taking the tiniest nibbles of the top of the cone, and then finally, FINALLY, she crunched down on the bottom.
She was in heaven, and we were in stitches laughing!
